I would be intested in learning more about this program.

In particular, I would like to know if the mentorees could not be expanded to include young women already out in the workforce. Wouldn’t it make sense to offer these young women the same support?

    Dear Elizabeth,
I would be pleased to provide you with more information about the program. As the program is in its first year, we are prioritizing matching mentees who are in their last year of a post-secondary program, and would have had little opportunity if any to find workplace mentors of their own. In coming years, we will look at expanding the criteria. For this year, I am advising potential mentees who are out of school by a year or two to submit an application, and if we have sufficient number of mentors available, that we will do our best to match them this year.

Thank you for your question and comment.

    Dear Joyce
Sometimes we don’t know what we know until we share our experience with others. I’ve been in a series of Senior Administrative roles for almost two decades. I currently lead our internal training program and would appreciate working with a mentor who has similar experience in developing a program such as this.

That said, I would also like to explore how I can be a mentor to someone entering the business world. How do we find out more?

Having coached and mentored many young entreprenuers and business owners, I look forward to learning more about the mentorship program. Knowledge is to be shared and I have 20 years of experience to share with young women looking to start up their own business.
