Venture Publishing, the award-winning publisher of Alberta Venture, Alberta Oil, unlimitedmagazine.com, Tracks & Treads, Open Mind, Alberta Innovators and Hard Hat magazines, has an internship opportunity available for a journalism program graduate.
Venture Publishing offers an exciting and valuable three month internship opportunity in our editorial department. Interns will experience the process of putting together the magazine, from researching stories and participating in editorial meetings, to managing data, fact-checking and proofreading.
Interns work under the supervision of an editor. They conduct research, administrative tasks, data management and fact-checking of articles for Alberta Venture, Alberta Oil, Unlimited, and our contract magazines, as assigned. Interns will learn how to assess story ideas, fact-check, copy-edit and proofread. They will have the opportunity to write short features for both print publications and online. The internship is a great opportunity to learn and practice key research and journalism skills.
