In January, Darren Campbell took over as editor of Alberta Oil magazine from Gord Jaremko who retired to pursue his interest in writing books. Mike Ganley has been named editor of Alberta Venture, effective May 9, 2011, replacing Paul Marck who recently moved to British Columbia.
Campbell comes to the Venture Publishing after spending nearly 14 years in the Northwest Territories as a journalist, including a stint as editor of the award-winning northern business magazines Far North Oil and Gas. “There is no better place to be following the oil and gas and energy sectors than Alberta. There is so much happening on those fronts in this province,” says Campbell. “I look forward to telling the stories that matter to Alberta Oil’s readers and to enhance the magazine’s stature as a must-read if you’re interested in the business of energy.” (more…)
