Vovia names new president, Niko Resources strengthens its board, Shane Homes given “Best of Houzz” award

Calgary-based internet marketing company Vovia is introducing Susan Murphy as its new president. Murphy brings over 15 years of client and agency experience to Vovia, a company that has undergone tremendous growth over the past year. Prior to joining Vovia, Murphy was a group account director at Venture Communications.

  • Niko Resources is adding decades of experience to its board of directors with the addition of Stewart Gossen. Gossen is a former executive with Vecta Energy, Enbridge and Home Oil Company, part of his 40 years in the oil and gas industry. Niko also announced the hiring of Tim G. Henry to the position of vice president of general counsel, and corporate secretary.
  • Athabasca Minerals has appointed Scott MacDougall its new vice president of operations and Heather Budney to the role of chief geologist. MacDougall will provide oversight in advancing industry best practice standards at all of Athabasca’s operations. Budney will be responsible for Athabasca’s exploration and development program.
  • Tesla Exploration has appointed Chris Brown its new vice president of HSE. Brown joined the corporation in February 2012 after working as senior HSE manager with an international geophysical seismic corporation. Brown replaces Ronald Seabrook.
  • Freemont Resources CFO Helmut Hauke is joining the board of governors of the Certified General Accountants Association of Alberta starting in June. The board will be amalgamated into the newly formed CPA body after this year.
