AccelerateAB, April 30 & May 1, 2014, is an annual two-day celebration of entrepreneurship and tech startups in Alberta. Keynotes, roundtables, sessions and social events focus on helping bold entrepreneurs set high growth trajectories, gain traction, and build momentum as they go from startup to scale. Hosted at Startup Edmonton and the University of Alberta Centennial Centre for Interdisciplinary Science (CCIS), registration is $60 + service fees and GST at accelertateab.ca.
Confirmed speakers include Harley Finkelstein – Chief Platform Officer, Shopify; Satish Kanwar – Director, Shopify and Co-Founder, Jet Cooper; and Lars Lofgren – Growth Manager, KISSmetrics. Additional speakers and sessions will be confirmed in leading up to the event, focused on topics such as Growing Your Team, Development and Scale, and Investing in Growth Companies.
New for 2014, programming includes two tracks to cater to Alberta’s quickly expanding and scaling startup scene:
- Startups: Sessions aimed at existing, early stage startups who are working through product/market validation, customer development, and seed funding.
- Rampup: Deep dive sessions aimed at funded, growing companies with traction looking to scale, grow revenue, hire, and raise their next round of funding.
