Dennis McKerracher, High River
If you ask pork producer Dennis McKerracher the value of water, the bottom line never comes up. In 2004, McKerracher began comparing the results of standard water drinkers to ball-bite water drinkers on 3,000 feeder pigs. By 2005, results proved that the ball-bite drinker saved 35% on water usage and electricity.
