Yesterday was a busy day for Patrick Daniel, the CEO of Enbridge Inc., but while he may have spent most of it dealing with the fallout from the company’s fourth-quarter earnings report from 2010, which saw profits rise 9 per cent but miss analyst expectations, it couldn’t have been the only thing on his mind. Earnings, schmernings; it was Kinder Morgan’s announcement that it intends to expand its pipeline that runs from Edmonton’s refineries to Vancouver’s deep-water port that likely dominated the day for Daniel. >
