Vote: Alberta’s Best Patio

Through May and June, as the sun began to beat down, we asked our readers to vote on their favourite patios. Beginning with 32, we narrowed it down to two, and now the winner: the gorgeous Stone Peak Restaurant at Overlander Mountain Lodge, just outside the East Jasper National Park Gates (near Hinton). Congrats, and thanks to everyone who took part. What should we poll next?

Patio-Story-Image

Beautiful summer weather got us wondering: Where is the best patio in Alberta? So we turned to you, dear readers, to help us find it. Through May and June, we hosted a bracket-style poll, in which we paired the province’s best patios and asked readers to vote on their favourites.

  1. If you haven’t gone to the Iron Goat and had a beer and watched the Three Sister, Ha Ling mountain and Rundle Range then you haven’t experienced the best patio in the Canadian Rockies and for sure Canmore.

  2. The Stone peak Restaurant and patio are superb with that exceptional view of Mt. Roche Miette. The chef is outstanding, best food ever! Great professional service peaceful atmosphere, classy yet casual. Great wines.

  6. There is nothing as majestic as viewing the Three Sisters Mountains from the Iron Goat patio. Awesome!!!!!

  7. The over lander lodge is an old lodge. I remembered it when I was about 10 years old when my grandma cooked in the Jasper hotel when we went up there for a week.
