The Wrap Up: Who took our survey?
Breaking down the 214 respondents to our survey
Once again, thanks to the businesspeople who took the time to fill out the 2014 Business Conditions Survey. In case you’re wondering who those people are, we can tell you that 57 per cent of them identified themselves as CEO or president of a company, 12 per cent as senior managers, nine per cent as vice-presidents and six per cent as managers. We also broke the numbers down by profession and size of the company, and give you three final graphs illustrating those results.
But it’s not quite over yet. Alberta Venture and HSBC have organized two business breakfasts to go along with the survey, in Edmonton on February 25 and in Calgary on February 27. Visit albertaventure.com for more information. And we’re developing an iTunes version to complement the survey results with additional content and interactive features. You’ll be able to find it in the iTunes store in March. We hope you’ve gleaned some interesting insights into the mindset of Alberta’s business leaders through this survey, and look forward to doing it all again in a few years.
“There is no better time or place to be in business than right here and right now, with a growing population and abundant natural and business resources. But we need to change how we do business to capitalize on what we have. Doing things the way they were always done will undermine adaptability and our ability to meet the needs of changing global markets. We have to be smarter, with a long-term perspective.”
